Shipping Update!

Hey folks!

A quick check-in on the progress shipping!

Shipping is still on going but progress is happening steadily. We've made significant progress, having sent out over a thousand packages in 3 weeks, which is a good portion over half the packages. 

Some details to answer frequent questions:

• We ship by pledge level, not location. 
• Due to the unique amounts of dice, coins, cards, and other items, each package has to be individually checked (rather than assembly lined out the door.) This has added an increase of time per package. 
• In order to maximize our packing time, we pack all week, and then USPS comes and picks up several hundred packages each weekend. As we do our own fulfillment, this allows us to focus on getting packages prepped, rather than cutting our team's size by half (or a third depending on help) to drop smaller amounts of packages off throughout the week. 

IMPORTANT: If you haven't gotten a shipping notice yet, do not worry. We're still working through all the invoices, so there's no reason to panic. Once we've got everything out, we'll post a notice here and then you can follow up if you haven't heard anything. 

The writers are finishing the 80s and western supplements while we ship, and then those will go into editing, art direction and layout, alongside the one-sheets Alan has written.

Signing Pictures & Shipping Underway!

Hey folks!

The signing happened and we've begun shipping. Some folks have already reported seeing their packages, but fulfillment will take several weeks. Please be patient and we'll update you as things continue! 

The GKG team will be heads down getting packages out the door, so please bear with us if we're slow on responses to various things!

Books have arrived!

The books are here!

The books arrived late last week and all three pallets are being unboxed and inspected to ensure there's no damage. Here are the next steps:

• Monday and Tuesday, the GKG team will update your addresses in our shipping software. This will NOT update your address in BackerKit, just our software, so if it doesn't change in BackerKit don't panic. 
• Sometime this week (likely Wednesday, but we're still sorting it out), Larry is going to arrive to sign several hundred books with Alan. This is the last major step before shipping begins.
• This week, a few dozen packages will filter out (slowly), as we handle international orders. However, full consistent shipping will not begin until this weekend (as signing and preparing the shipping stations are the priority tasks this week. We need to input weights for the books, make sure no damaged copies need to be replaced, and more.)
• Based on our past fulfillment and the number of packages and custom orders, we anticipate this will take us 3-5 weeks to get all the packages out. International will be first (due to changes in the US relationship with the UPU), followed by domestic orders.

Update on Shipping!

Hey folks!

Please read this update carefully, as it contains important information.

First, the books are on track at the printers to ship from their facility around 9/16 (earlier would be a welcome surprise, but we wouldn't expect or count on that.) It will take roughly a week to arrive and be taken into the warehouse and checked. 

During that time, Larry & Alan will be signing the required books, and packaging and invoices will be prepared. We anticipate being able to start shipping within two weeks of the books arriving at the warehouse (faster for smaller or book only shipments.)

The Important Part (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

IF YOU NEED YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS UPDATED, please follow the following steps:

First, check your current address here: https://mhirpg.backerkit.com/ (LINK) on the BackerKit. if it's correct, you're set! No need to worry.

If it needs to be changed, please do the following:

• Sent an email to [email protected]
• Have the subject line be: "MHI KS Address Change". If it is not that exact wording (less the quotations), our filter might not catch it and you might be missed.
• Have your email sent by the 20th of September, so we can make the change. That's a hard and fast cut off. 

Please do not:

• Reach out via Kickstarter Message for address changes, it's near impossible to track and often usernames don't match with actual addresses and emails. 

If you need a special accommodation or something won't work, let us know and we'll be happy to help!

Your patience has been wonderful, and we really thank you for all your support. We know this project went long and had some rough patches, but we think the final product is worth the wait!

Our next update will be when we're told the books have left the warehouse and will include a status update on the rest of the project (PDF rewards.) Thanks!

Books at the Printer!

Hey Folks!

Happy Wednesday! This will be a very quick update with three pieces of information:

First, our printer has informed us that the books are currently scheduled to leave their facility on 9/16. It generally takes about a week to get the books and get them into our shipping facility (inspecting for damage, etc.) During that time we'll be arranging time for Larry to come sign the copies that need signatures!

Secondly, the PDF will be updated later this week with the changes to the SWADE Edition we made on your feedback! We just need to upload it and have the changelog go with it. 

Third, next week, we'll be posting an update about how to get your shipping sorted if you're concerned or worried. Please hold all shipping questions til then, and we'll be as through as possible.

You've all been very patient and supportive and it means a lot! Thanks for being so awesome and the end is coming!
