Happy Holidays!

Hope everyone had a great holiday (or two weeks, whichever you had!) Sorry we're a day late, but you all know how the holidays are!

We've received our money from Kickstarter and so we've started building out the BackerKit. We anticipate that it should come out sometime next week (near the end of the week.) BackerKit will require a 3 day approval step (which is the reason we're aiming for the end of next week.) We'll update you when it's coming out!

We'll be putting the shipping costs in there, and we won't be closing it til May or June, so there's plenty of time to do preorders, add-ons, square the budget away, or whatever you might need to do!

Writing and art continue apace. We'll have some images and samples for you soon!

 Alright. You all broke all our stretch goals, and now we're stepping up to give you one last stretch goal. 

See that image above? That's a MHI Patch. It's all brand-new and shiny. 

If we break $125,000, every backer with a physical item will get ONE free Patch. Not per item, just per package. 

That's right. Free patch. 

If you want more, they're +$5 per patch. This will be a limited run for the Kickstarter. We might reprint them one day, we might not.

So, we're back.

And we've got an update for you! Let's dig in with some frequently asked questions!

1.) I added on $XX.XX for STRETCH GOAL THING Y. Why isn't it reflected? 

A: When you add on money for an add-on (like the coloring book), your pledge level doesn't update with the new item. Instead, when we send out invites for the BackerKit, we'll mark those items in there, and then you'll be able to spend the add-on as a "credit" towards any items you want! Don't worry that it's not reflected on this page. It'll get sorted in BackerKit!

2.) What is BackerKit?

A: BackerKit is a post-campaign management system that will allow us to gather your addresses, allow you to choose what add-ons you want, and allow for easier fulfillment and management from our end!

3.) Can I order new add-ons or more through the BackerKit?

A: Simply put, yes! You'll be able to add on more of any item you want!

4.) How much will shipping be for add-on or pledge level XYZ?

A: As we prepare the BackerKit, we'll sync up with our shipping service and let you know! It'll all be included in there. 

5.) When will the BackerKit come out?

A: Our goal is to get it out by the end of the year (first week of January at the latest!)

Cool! I think we handled a lot of the common questions. If you have some, post them in the comments on this update, and we'll do our best to get to them. 

If you've never been on a Gallant Knight Games Kickstarter before, let me update you on how this works. 

Starting now, we'll update you every two weeks (on Tuesdays) about the progress on this game in a piece by piece format. We're gathering the data, so the next update (on 12/26) will contain fairly extensive information about the book and where we are. 

Outside of those updates, we try not to update you or spam you with other projects (but we can't promise we won't!)

We also try to give you goodies as we can (and previews), so let's talk Benchmarks. 

Our goal is to have a complete PDF to you by May. This means we go to print, and we hit our delivery window in August easily. We'd like to have the MHI RPG at GenCon for sale, so our goal is to beat that window. I'm very confident we can do it!

So we'll see you in two weeks!

This has been an insanely successful Kickstarter! Over 2,000 backers, over $122,000 raised!

We fell just short of that final stretch goal, so we're going to count preorders in BackerKit towards it! You all stepped up and got us so close, we'll do the same!

The Path Forward 

We're giving the team the weekend off. They earned it (as did you.) Go play some RPGs or games. Hang out. Have a good time.

On Monday, Alan will sit down and finalize the project road map and start an every other week update schedule. If you've been on a Gallant Knight Games Kickstarter before, you'll know how this goes.
